Detailing a Hornby Shark Wagon

Recently Hornby released a superb model of the Shark ballast brake van. As it is such a nice model I wanted one to run with my Bachmann Sea lion wagons in olive green. The first models from Hornby were for later periods but had one in Load Haul colours. I colour.
The inspiration came from a preserved Shark at the Nene Valley railway. As the body was already mainly all satin black all had to do paint over the orange on the ends of the wagon with satin black. The roof was then sprayed matt white and weathered by dry brushing it with matt black. The ploughs were dry brushed a rust colour as was part of the chassis.
